It's the first of the warm nights

So I would say it started close to Wednesday, i picked up the phone at about 8:30 am and when I heard "OK, I'm on my way..." my response without even thinking, but mostly because I was still sleeping was, "ALREADY????!!!!!"

"Ok - Ok - The door will be open"

After a shower and fianlly waking up it was coffee by the pool and agenda ideas for the committee.

Next was a run to the hall to peruse contracts for stuff we needed for the committee

A run to Lynne's house for lunch and then back to mine for a dance class.

After class, I whipped up some dinner and the three of us hopped in the hot tub for a bit, dessert, and then South Park.

The next morning I woke up early cause I was finally off to work. got to work with the old man that day. It was pretty simple stuff but I was told we were gonna take our sweet time.

6 "T" trees, 12 Source 4, 6 dimmers, a bit of cable/tape, and a board... in total 8 hours - and a call back for the next day. After that came a ride home from the old man, and as I was walking from the corner I saw Kat. Jumped in the car and she's got a ton of news. Gossip ETC

Jackman spotted us going through the contracts and noticed our little army. It was a nice round of giggles. The pair stopped by and then it was a nap for me. I got up ran to pick up a check, stopped to say "HI" to Matt, and then back to bed for a little bit. the old man got to me a little early but I still had time to pick up a cup of coffee and off to work to notice how popular I'm getting... (Not egotisitcal, am I?)

42" plasmas for 9 1/2 hours. First it was hugs from the old timers I was working with. then I passed Radar, Sully, Charlie, Gary, Roy, Carole, and a few others. M & M responded in stereo

"How many people do you know. "

I just smiled. A whole stream of people stopping boom lifts to give me a hug. Then I was inadvertentl showing someone up putting up a plasma. I get a poke in the back and it's Bullet there to give me a hug.

Yeah so back to this plasma - not that hard... So it came in this road case with desk stands already attached. The guy i was working with I've seen around before but today we just weren't clicking. he was trying to shove pieces of the stand together while they were out of line, I was trying to help but i wasn't about to lose a finger for this.

"Slow down and I'll get it in line"

Amazingly, he listened.

Usually the next thing you do is to take out the plasma, set it on top of a road case and put the hanging brackets on them.So I was clearing off the top of the road case and he was putting stuff back on.

"Which direction you going in now?"
"THE STAND"

So I stopped what I was doing and put on the stand shelves and hardware. We finally pulled out the plasma and he sits and holds the hanging bracket up to it.. Now remember, I said it was set up to sit on a desk.

"It won't fit"

As i peak around to the back... "Sure it will just take out the screws for the desk stand part and it'll slap in right there."

Everything is finally hung and speakers are wired, the only problem is we were only getting sound out of one speaker input. I rechecked what I had plugged in but didn't look at anything else because the poor guy was listening to the clients showering me with compliments. "Thank goddness you're here. We wouldn't have been able to get this together if you weren't here"

REALLY -- NO SHITTING

Well now it's 6 pm and already an hour into overtime when the account/employers come over and I go through a quick what's not working because they want us to sign out. "DID YOU GUYS CHECK YOUR PLUGS?"

I checked the ones in the plasma and they're fine

I checked the ones into the DVD player & they're ok

But low and behold apparently someone plugged the RCA cables into 2 video outs instead of audio.

What can I say.

I get home and sit down to eat dinner and realize...Shit, my Illinois taxes

So thinking it was like back home, I called to make sure the post office was open down the block so I could walk there & get back for dinner. But vegas is a 24 hour town only there's one post office open for the whole valley.

Six hours later, I'm finally walking up the drive to go to bed.

Ring after Ring after Ring

I'm not answering that telephone tonight - and I fall back asleep.

At about 8:30 pm, I wake up and figure it's time to call everyone back, as I clean up. Find out we're all going out dancing and I've got an hour to get ready.

It was the coolest country bar I've ever been to. I just wish I was a beer drinker cuz it's $20.00 for a refillable glass. But the dancing was fun and I yet again proved the theory wrong.

I was so shocked when I didn't wake up with a hang over. I had a truck loading call at 5 pm. So I got to have my cup of coffee at a leisurely pace. i also got to start a new myst game I just got for XBOX.

It was just one truck - 1hr 15min with an annoying know it all (and no, it wasn't me) because this dude came in late and then was trying to run the show. But then it was over to a co-workers house to relax, a walk home on the nice warm night and then I couldn't decide what I wanted to do first. That's how it was the rest of the night. I'm not even sure what I did do that night.

And finally today will be a first in the fact that I'm going to quit a class in the training dept.
